About the role

The Quality Control and Environmental Management Specialist will ensure that Toralco’s construction projects meet internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental legislation. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising quality assurance activities, continuous process improvement, and environmental compliance across all phases of construction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor the company’s quality and environmental management systems.
• Supervise compliance with quality procedures during project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and control the quality of materials, equipment, and construction processes.
• Develop, update and manage procedures, indicators, formats, records and reports related to quality and environment.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective actions to meet established standards.
• Monitor adherence to environmental legislation, technical norms and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in internal and external audits, certification processes and management system maintenance.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and implement efficiency and sustainability plans.
• Analyze performance indicators, prepare executive reports and present results to management.
• Lead training on quality, environmental practices and best construction methods.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree, licensed and active member of CODIA (Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, environmental management or integrated management systems within the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
• Proven experience in conducting internal and external audits and managing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with construction materials, processes, quality controls and technical specifications.
