Electrical BIM QA/QC Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly technical Electrical QA/QC Lead to support our BIM/VDC team and ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of electrical deliverables for U.S.-based projects. The role focuses on reviewing electrical submittals, shop drawings, BIM content, and models against project requirements and U.S. electrical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with NEC and U.S. codes.
• Validate Revit families and BIM models, ensuring they reflect approved submittals and are properly coordinated.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions, or technical issues between documentation and BIM models and communicate corrections to the BIM/VDC team.
• Perform quality control reviews of electrical BIM deliverables before final submission using Revit and Navisworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience with electrical systems, construction documentation, and U.S.-based MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, U.S. electrical standards, and construction practices.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a consistent QA/QC process.

Required skills

• Revit (plus) proficiency.
• Basic to intermediate Navisworks knowledge.
• Understanding of BIM/VDC workflows and electrical coordination.
• Familiarity with NEC and U.S. electrical codes.
