About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a professional driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for staff and visitors in Santo Domingo. The role supports the mission’s operations by ensuring timely travel and maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition.
Key responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient transport for personnel and official visitors.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle, performing routine checks and minor repairs.
- Comply with local traffic laws and IOM’s internal travel policies.
- Represent IOM professionally, ensuring a courteous and reliable service on every trip.
Required profile
- Secondary education certificate or university degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid national driver’s license.
- Minimum five (5) years of professional driving experience.
- Familiarity with traffic regulations and vehicle operation for both manual and automatic transmissions.
Required skills
- Proficient knowledge of traffic signs and safe driving practices.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Basic competence with radio, email, telephone and related communication tools.
