About the role

We are seeking a dedicated English Language Arts (ELA) teacher for our high school. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with support staff to foster a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance, submit plans to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organize class materials and maintain an up‑to‑date grade book.
• Design monthly assessments, grade assignments, and record grades on schedule.
• Decorate the classroom with relevant educational resources and supervise playground duties.
• Work with the Psychology Department to support students with academic, behavioral, or special needs.
• Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, parent meetings, and school events.
• Monitor attendance, manage homework boards, and encourage student participation in committees and community projects.
• Communicate regularly with parents and refer students to appropriate support services when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Proficiency with digital tools and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and communication competencies.
