Director(a) de Recursos Humanos – Pre‑opening Luxury Resort

About the role

The company is launching a new 115‑room luxury all‑inclusive boutique resort in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic. It seeks a Human Resources Director to shape the HR strategy, build the founding team, and establish all HR processes for a successful opening.

Key responsibilities

• Lead talent attraction for every hotel position during the pre‑opening phase.
• Design and implement culture, engagement, and employee experience programs.
• Create HR policies, processes and programs aligned with luxury service standards.
• Advise the Executive Committee on talent, performance, organizational development and labor relations.
• Ensure compliance with local labor legislation and corporate policies.
• Oversee training, onboarding, performance management, compensation and succession planning.
• Manage the HR budget and monitor key human‑capital metrics.
• Foster a work environment that reflects luxury hospitality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Director in luxury hotels or resorts.
• Prior pre‑opening experience highly desirable.
• Proven track record in large‑scale recruitment and organizational development.
• Strong knowledge of Dominican labor law and HR best practices.
• Strategic leadership, executive influence and vision.
• Advanced English proficiency.
