About the role

The Director of Civil Works will lead the full execution of large‑scale civil construction projects for tourist apartments and real‑estate developments in La Romana. This senior position is responsible for ensuring that every phase of construction meets technical, regulatory, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise construction schedules, technical resources and operational staff.
• Guarantee compliance with architectural plans, technical specifications and current building regulations.
• Control budgets, costs and physical progress, proposing corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure occupational health, safety and environmental standards are met on site.
• Supervise quality of work and materials used.
• Prepare technical and progress reports for senior management and project stakeholders.
• Manage permits, inspections and legal compliance with local authorities.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree.
• Proven experience directing civil works, preferably in tourist‑apartment or large‑scale real‑estate projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management, budgeting and construction control.
• Familiarity with construction, safety and environmental regulations.
• Leadership, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work on‑site in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
