DevOps Engineer

About the role

Join a leading HR technology provider to optimize cloud environments, automate deployments, and enhance critical HR platforms for US businesses. This full‑time remote position offers the chance to work with global teams and advance your DevOps career.

Key responsibilities

• Manage deployment pipelines across Heroku, Railway, AWS, and Render to ensure reliable releases.
• Maintain and update Ruby on Rails application packages, dependencies, and security patches.
• Implement GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD, automated testing with Playwright, and deployment automation.
• Monitor application performance using Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, and Papertrail, and address N+1 queries or API inefficiencies.
• Design and execute ETL processes to support data analytics and business operations.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, perform database maintenance (PostgreSQL backups, migrations, optimization), and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with development teams on microservices architecture, inter‑service communication, and container orchestration.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or a related technical role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Ruby on Rails architecture and deployment best practices.
• Experience with cloud PaaS providers such as AWS, Heroku, and Railway.
