Demand Planning Lead Supervisor

About the role

The Lead Demand Planner will own the network demand plan for assigned product lines and geographies, driving forecasting excellence across a 3‑24 month horizon. Reporting to the Demand Manager ESA and the local Materials Leader, this role partners with Product Line Management, Sales, Finance, Supply Planning and Operations to align commercial objectives with operational capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a robust 18‑24 month demand plan each month, combining statistical baselines, market intelligence and sales leadership approvals.
• Analyze historical trends, maintain seasonality patterns and adjust forecasts for promotions or exceptional market events.
• Collect and review sales forecasts regularly, identifying fast‑ and slow‑moving product trends.
• Present demand plan outputs in Network and SIOP reviews and manage demand‑related KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias and stability.
• Integrate scenario planning and risk/opportunity analysis into demand reviews.
• Develop and execute root‑cause analysis of top forecast errors and document corrective actions.
• Build strong relationships with country/zone commercial and financial teams to enhance market knowledge over 12‑24 month horizons.
• Participate in monthly SIOP/Demand Review and S&OE meetings, driving meaningful discussions.
• Provide functional leadership, coaching and development for Demand Planners, standardising tools, processes and best practices.
• Act as escalation point for complex forecasting challenges and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Engineering, Business Administration or International Business; Master’s in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain or related analytics roles.
• Fluent English and strong alignment with Eaton’s Culture Model (curiosity, accountability, collaboration, innovation, etc.).
