Database Administrator (SQL Server)

About the role

As a Database Administrator you will keep the SQL Server environment running smoothly on a daily basis, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement by adopting new technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day administration of Microsoft SQL Server in a clustered environment.
• Document complex installation, configuration, and optimization procedures for automation.
• Respond to end‑user tickets, answer questions, and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor, trend, and tune SQL databases proactively.
• Ensure reliable backups and successful recovery of databases.
• Lead initiatives to automate and innovate database processes.
• Support Data Architects and Developers with additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the Dominican Republic.
• Strong English reading and written communication skills.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with query analysis, performance tuning, and routine maintenance.
• Familiarity with Windows administration.
