Coordinador de Operaciones y Compras

About the role

Samsara House designs, manufactures and imports custom furniture for hotels, resorts and real‑estate projects across the Caribbean. We are looking for a methodical and solution‑oriented Operations and Purchasing Coordinator to manage the production and logistics of each order from supplier confirmation to delivery to the client.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate production activities with workshops and manufacturers.
• Maintain continuous communication and follow‑up with suppliers.
• Plan, consolidate and manage container shipments.
• Work with forwarders to request and track freight.
• Handle all import documentation and customs clearance processes.
• Oversee the arrival of containers at the warehouse.
• Manage claims for defective or damaged goods in transit.
• Arrange final shipment of products to customers.
• Provide occasional support for quotations and design tasks as project needs arise.

Required profile

• Higher education in Foreign Trade, Logistics, Administration, Architecture or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Native Spanish speaker with advanced English proficiency.
• Strong organizational, proactive and methodical work style.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Trello.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
• Use of CRM tools.
