About the role

Palladium is looking for a Cost Controller to join its construction team in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The professional will ensure economic control of large‑scale building projects, protect CAPEX, and guarantee accurate budget tracking and work certification.

Key responsibilities

• Validate monthly measurements and valuations submitted by the contractor.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology, analyse deviations, causes and forecasts.
• Prepare and maintain the monthly cash‑flow and investment S‑curve.
• Control CAPEX against the approved budget and manage the contingency reserve.
• Manage and analyse Change Orders, assessing their financial impact.
• Audit provisional sums and subcontractor settlements.
• Oversee the monthly certification process and payment orders.
• Produce economic status reports for the Project Manager and Finance Directorate.
• Serve as internal reference for price analysis and comparison.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Technical Architecture or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction cost control on projects exceeding USD 50 million.
• Proven experience with Earned Value Management and work certification systems.
• Experience in hotel or residential projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organisational and autonomous work style.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Presto or equivalent cost‑control tools.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.
