About the role

We are seeking a senior General Accountant to lead and supervise the financial, accounting, and tax functions of a company operating in hydro‑electric and solar energy generation. The role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all financial information while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise accounting, tax, and financial management activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS/NIIF and local regulations.
• Manage accounting treatment of fixed assets, CAPEX, works in progress, depreciation, and asset impairments.
• Oversee provisions, reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, and other accounting records.
• Handle monthly and annual tax obligations, including deferred tax calculations.
• Produce financial reports for senior management and the parent company.
• Participate in budgeting, OPEX, CAPEX planning, and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Lead financial, tax audits and due‑diligence processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and current accounting and tax standards.

Required profile

• Professional degree and membership in the accounting board (CPC required).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in senior accounting roles (General Accountant, Head of Accounting, etc.).
• Experience in the energy sector, especially hydro‑electric, solar, or related infrastructure, is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/NIIF, IAS 16, IAS 36, and IAS 12.
• Proven ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
• Solid understanding of corporate taxation and deferred tax.
• Experience with fixed‑asset control, CAPEX/OPEX management, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in SAP BO and other accounting tools.
• Intermediate to advanced English for reporting and coordination with the parent company.
• High technical accounting and tax expertise, analytical mindset, and autonomy in decision‑making.
