Construction Manager

About the role

Palladium is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the quality assurance and control program for a large tourism‑residential project in Santo Domingo. The role ensures that all construction activities comply with design documents, specifications, and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and monitor the project’s Quality Assurance and Control program.
• Review and approve submittals and shop drawings prior to fabrication or installation.
• Coordinate testing plans and special inspections with independent laboratories.
• Lead resident engineers and inspectors across all project phases.
• Compile the quality dossier for final project handover.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and project specifications.
• Manage non‑conformities, track corrective actions and close them effectively.
• Supervise material testing and special inspections, maintaining traceability of approvals, certificates and test results.
• Report quality status and technical risks to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Technical Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction quality control.
• Proven experience with special inspections and non‑conformity management.
• Experience on projects exceeding USD 50 million, preferably high‑rise buildings.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM and local MOPC codes.
• Preferably certified in quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
• Good command of English for technical standards.
• Excellent coordination, leadership and detail‑orientation.
