Compliance Specialist (SDQ)

About the role

The Compliance Specialist will serve as an in‑house regulatory and risk expert for Horatio, working across all areas of the Compliance and Legal teams. The role ensures that company policies, standards and regulatory processes are consistently applied and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal audits on a quarterly basis or as needed to verify compliance with contractual requirements, internal policies and international standards.
• Execute risk assessments for each client or line of business and maintain related documentation.
• Promote and embed a security and compliance culture throughout the organization.
• Develop and propose mitigation solutions for identified security and compliance risks.
• Coordinate corrective action plans and follow‑up until findings are closed.
• Provide security/compliance consulting to operational sites, including travel for audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS, SOC 2 and HIPAA audit exercises and review contracts for compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in compliance, risk, or security auditing.
• Proficient English (spoken and written).
• Strong organization, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail, commitment to quality and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS, SOC 2 and HIPAA standards.
• Experience with security auditing and internal audit processes.
• Risk assessment and mitigation expertise.
• Development of Standard Operating Procedures, policies and standards.
