Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer (CMCO) – Real Estate & Hospitality

About the role

The client is a leading Costa Rican destination business with a diverse portfolio spanning hospitality, dining, residential communities, development, entertainment, sport and leisure. Reporting to the CEO, the CMCO will create a unified commercial vision and build a high‑performing, centralized function covering brand, customer engagement, digital, revenue generation and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and strengthen the overall brand architecture, market proposition and customer strategy.
• Build an integrated customer ecosystem encompassing data, CRM, loyalty, digital engagement and direct channels.
• Lead digital acquisition, communications, content and customer conversion.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies for residential sales and new projects, including international demand generation.
• Identify and commercialise opportunities across events, sport, entertainment and leisure.
• Create cross‑business initiatives that increase customer lifetime value, visitation, referrals and revenue.
• Build, lead and develop a centralized marketing and commercial team, establishing processes, capabilities and a performance culture.
• Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership on growth strategy, investment priorities and commercial performance.

Required profile

• Commercially driven, imaginative and data‑informed leader with sophisticated marketing expertise.
• Comfortable operating in a complex, consumer‑facing environment and turning diverse businesses into a coherent customer proposition.
• Experience in international hospitality, resorts, lifestyle, mixed‑use communities, branded residential projects or other consumer‑led sectors.
• Entrepreneurial energy, strong commercial judgement and a proven track record of creating growth.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with credibility to represent the organisation to owners, investors and partners.
