About the role
We are seeking a hands‑on Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy of two fintech companies operating in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. The CFO will strengthen financial management, support fundraising, and prepare the organization for its next growth phase.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute the overall funding strategy, including credit facilities, private debt, equity and co‑investment mechanisms.
- Structure, negotiate and manage liquidity, treasury, and obligations to investors and creditors.
- Develop budgets, financial projections and short‑ and medium‑term cash‑flow forecasts.
- Measure profitability of each product, portfolio, channel and market.
- Build and enhance portfolio reporting (delinquency, aging, vintages, losses, recoveries, concentration, risk‑adjusted returns).
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies and corporate governance.
- Coordinate financial consolidation and inter‑company flows across entities in the United States, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
- Prepare financial models, data rooms and reports for banks, funds and investors.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, partners and Credit, Collections, Operations and Accounting teams.
- Support fundraising initiatives and manage relationships with lenders, investors and financial institutions.
Required profile
- 8–15 years of relevant financial experience, preferably in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience in fintech, credit, factoring, banking, investment funds, debt funds or micro‑finance.
- Strong knowledge of treasury management, financial planning, credit‑portfolio analysis and debt structuring.
- Demonstrated ability to build sophisticated financial models and present information to investors and boards.
- Deep understanding of portfolio performance indicators such as PAR 30/60/90, aging, roll rates, vintages, expected losses, concentration, cost of funding and risk‑adjusted profitability.
- Experience working with regional operations or international corporate structures.
- Fluent in Spanish and professional English.
