Buyer Assistant (1st Shift)

About the role

The Buyer Assistant supports the supply‑chain supervisor in data collection, analysis and project execution for the materials area. Working on a first‑shift schedule, the role ensures smooth material flow, inventory adjustments and purchase order monitoring for the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, analyse and keep daily reports up‑to‑date for the materials area.
• Support improvement actions for Data Health metrics and coordinate with support departments.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining Lean/MESH tools and control processes.
• Configure components and sub‑assemblies, and provide inventory‑adjustment analysis.
• Provide internal customers with material status information and participate in continuous‑improvement meetings.
• Monitor purchase orders, shipments, and expedite materials according to plan.
• Place purchase orders for authorized requisitions and organise documentation for finance.
• Support internal customers with quotation requests and order status, and assist the MRO Buyer with assigned metrics.
• Process local invoices for payment and support accounts‑payable as needed.

Required profile

• University student in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields with at least 120 approved credits.
• Minimum six months of experience in operational support or administrative roles.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Commitment to safety, 5S/MESH standards and company policies.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Lean/MESH tools and methodologies.
