Business Development Specialist (SDQ)

About the role

Horatio is looking for a driven, resourceful and strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) with a strong hunter mentality to grow its outbound sales pipeline. Reporting directly to the Senior Business Development Manager, the role builds the outbound sales motion through strategic account research, personalized prospecting and opportunity qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high-potential accounts aligned with the ideal customer profile, researching company operations, growth initiatives, business challenges and key decision-makers
• Execute targeted, multichannel outreach through cold calling, email and LinkedIn, with personalized messaging linking business challenges to the value proposition
• Use buying signals, hiring trends, company news and market intelligence to spot timely opportunities
• Hold conversations to understand prospect needs, assess fit and generate qualified sales opportunities
• Maintain accurate prospect and activity records in HubSpot, manage follow-ups and work toward qualified meeting pipeline targets
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to refine targeting and messaging, and test new approaches

Required profile

• Proven experience in outbound sales or business development roles
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred
• Near-native English proficiency
• Strong communication, organization and time management skills

Required skills

• CRM software proficiency; experience with prospecting and engagement tools; HubSpot preferred
