Business Development Manager – Caribbean Region

About the role

Mercer, a Marsh Business, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and market expansion across the Caribbean region. This hybrid role is based in Santo Domingo and requires three days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments within the Caribbean.
• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Lead business development initiatives from prospecting through closing.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Manage relationships with executive‑level contacts and decision makers.
• Track and report on business development metrics, pipelines, and revenue forecasts.
• Represent Mercer at industry events and conferences in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, economics, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in business development, sales, or management consulting.
• Proven track record of successfully developing new businesses and building client relationships.
• Advanced English proficiency and excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Experience in professional services, consulting, or advisory sectors is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Caribbean market dynamics and business environment.
