Bilingual Instructional Designer (Spanish/English)

About the role

The Instructional Designer shapes learning experiences for local employees and clients by creating, designing and delivering engaging bilingual learning materials, courses and programs. The role works with subject matter experts to identify training needs, develops instructional materials, translates and localizes operational frameworks and SOPs between English and Spanish, and evaluates learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Create and design learning content such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, videos and assessments.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to build training programs and curricula tailored to each team and department.
• Apply instructional design principles so materials are learner-centric, interactive and aligned with adult learning theories.
• Use multimedia tools and software, adding visuals, animations and simulations.
• Manage content in the Learning Management System (LMS) and track training completion and reporting.
• Create assessments and evaluations to measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Translate, adapt and localize SOPs, job aids and training modules bi-directionally (English-Spanish) for LATAM and global agents without changing core processes.
• Work with local site trainers, operations leads and client SMEs to find comprehension gaps among Spanish-speaking agents and build targeted learning interventions.
• Maintain a bilingual repository of learning assets to streamline onboarding.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instructional design methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to work with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage several projects, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Native or professional fluency in both Spanish and English, written and spoken, able to translate complex technical and SOP language.
• Ability to adapt content culturally and linguistically for global agents.
