About the role
FL Technics is seeking a Bay Manager to lead daily Base Maintenance bay operations at its Punta Cana facility. The role ensures efficient allocation of manpower, aircraft, tools and materials while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily Base Maintenance bay activities, allocating manpower, aircraft, tools, materials and other resources.
- Supervise a team of mechanics, AMTs and supervisors, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with company procedures and aviation regulations.
- Monitor maintenance progress, productivity, quality and on‑time delivery, taking corrective actions when required.
- Coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, Logistics and other departments to ensure smooth execution of maintenance tasks.
- Support workforce planning, shift organization, overtime management and resource allocation according to operational needs.
- Ensure proper completion of maintenance documentation, job cards, time records and ERP information.
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture within the bay and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Act as point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders regarding maintenance activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft heavy maintenance, preferably in an MRO environment.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory, leadership or management role within aircraft maintenance.
- Technical or university education in Aircraft Maintenance, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid aircraft maintenance license (FAA A&P, EASA Part‑66 or equivalent) preferred/required.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes, safety and quality standards and applicable aviation regulations.
- Fluent English; Spanish is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in Punta Cana and adapt to operational/shift requirements.
