About the role

The Bakery and Pastry Assistant supports customers and the production team by delivering friendly service, keeping display areas stocked, and completing the final steps of baked goods preparation.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist customers in choosing bakery and pastry products, offering recommendations with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Maintain and restock display cases and shelves with fresh breads, cakes, and pastries throughout the shift.
  • Perform finishing tasks such as glazing, decorating, and packaging for a variety of baked items prepared by the kitchen.
  • Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards before they reach the sales floor.
  • Keep the work area clean, follow hygiene and safety protocols, and support inventory management.

Required profile

  • Interest in food service and direct customer interaction.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced bakery environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Willingness to collaborate with team members and follow established procedures.
