Automation Training Specialist II

About the role

The Automation Training Specialist II is responsible for designing, delivering and managing technical training for engineers and technicians working on Jabil's manufacturing automation processes. The role ensures that critical knowledge is captured, maintained and transferred across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs within the technical and engineering teams.
• Create, hire or provide training programs and instructional materials.
• Develop audio‑visual and e‑learning content to support hands‑on learning.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge database (courses, one‑point lessons, manuals).
• Draft work instructions for equipment maintenance and create real‑case training scenarios.
• Deliver classroom and practical sessions on PLCs, HMIs, SMT equipment and related automation topics.
• Design exams and certification processes for critical tasks.
• Lead onboarding and specialized training for new automation staff.
• Define learning objectives and collaborate with supervisors to update curricula.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician or in automation/manufacturing environments.
• Professional technical trainer course is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in English (reading and interpreting technical documents).
• Solid mathematical and reasoning abilities for problem solving.
