About the role
The Associate I – Assembly supports the assembly process of products at Cardinal Health Manufacturing. The role includes verifying components, conducting quality inspections, reporting defects, and operating packaging equipment while following safety and GMP guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Set up workstations as directed while complying with GMPs, policies, procedures, and safety rules.
- Assemble product packages according to DHR, special instructions, and video imaging.
- Verify components in the assembly process to ensure proper selection and that quality and quantity standards are met.
- Inspect components for debris or other potential quality defects and report findings to management and the quality team.
- Conduct quality inspections on the assembly line in accordance with quality specifications, report defects and investigate root causes.
- Operate equipment that packages materials or products by inserting them into containers or filling containers from spouts or chutes.
- Comply with all safety regulations required by the company, local, state, and federal provisions.
- Follow the NCI & Defect Investigation Form process to ensure proper management and resolution of quality issues.
Required profile
- 0‑1 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (preferred).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within the assigned area.
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Works on basic and routine assignments within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adheres to all quality guidelines and works under close supervision.
- All work is reviewed for accuracy; any deviations are approved by a supervisor before proceeding.
