Assembly Associate I

About the role

The Assembly Associate I supports the production of medical and pharmaceutical components at Cardinal Health. The role involves assembling component parts, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up workstations according to Captain/Designee instructions while adhering to GMP, policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Assemble product packages following DHR, special instructions, and video imaging guidelines.
• Verify components during assembly to ensure correct selection and that quality and quantity standards are met.
• Inspect components for debris or defects and report any issues to management and the quality team.
• Conduct quality inspections on the assembly line in line with quality specifications and document defects.
• Follow NCI & Defect Investigation Form process to manage and resolve quality issues.

Required profile

• 0‑1 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (preferred).
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• Ability to apply basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks under close supervision.
• Willingness to maintain required licenses, training, and certifications.
