Accounting Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will oversee daily accounting activities, maintain accurate records and support timely financial reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and Dominican regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, income audit, cashiering and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accurate journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and financial reports.
• Review balance‑sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, forecasts and analyses for finance leadership.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, including invoice matching, payments, supplier reconciliations and credit/collection activities.
• Support payroll accounting in collaboration with People and Culture.
• Assist with statutory, tax and regulatory reporting to Dominican authorities.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, segregation‑of‑duties and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Recruit, train, supervise and develop accounting staff.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Luxury‑hospitality experience preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable ERP platform.
