Accounting Assistant & Cost Control Coordinator

About the role

G2 Performance, a U.S.-based manufacturer of custom performance apparel for the marching arts industry, is expanding its operations and seeks an Accounting & Cost Control Coordinator in the Dominican Republic. The role ensures accurate financial records, verifies vendor and freight charges, monitors production expenses and keeps detailed job-costing records for every customer order. It works closely with the U.S. management team, purchasing, production and international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor and supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders and receiving records, and reconcile vendor statements in QuickBooks Online.
• Audit UPS, freight and shipping invoices, track shipping costs by order and handle disputes and credits.
• Maintain job-costing records for every order (fabrics, printing, labor, outsourced production, freight, duties, rework) and calculate gross profit per order.
• Enter approved bills and credits into QuickBooks Online, help with vendor reconciliations and month-end procedures.
• Prepare weekly reports on invoice discrepancies, shipping disputes and outstanding job-costing issues.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounting support or cost accounting.
• Fluent English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and attention-to-detail skills, with good organization and confidentiality.
• Preferred: manufacturing, apparel or textile experience, job costing, familiarity with UPS/FedEx/DHL billing and customs duties, and experience with a U.S.-based company.
