Accountant – Punta Cana

About the role

FL Technics is expanding its new hangar in Punta Cana and seeks a dedicated Accountant to support daily finance operations in the Dominican Republic. You will work closely with the local finance team and the wider FL Technics group to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks, record financial transactions, and prepare journal entries.
• Execute account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities.
• Support tax accounting and prepare reports required by Dominican authorities.
• Handle payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and group reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, tax and payroll consultants.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and assist with audits and ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of Dominican Republic accounting and tax regulations.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Fluent Spanish; English willingness to learn (basic training provided).

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with MS Dynamics (Navision) or Business Central.
• Familiarity with IFRS reporting.
