About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Restaurant Chef to join the pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, you will lead the culinary operation of an assigned restaurant, creating menus that showcase local ingredients and delivering consistent, high‑quality dishes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, taste, presentation and consistency.
• Participate in pre‑opening activities such as kitchen inspections, equipment testing, menu development and operational simulations.
• Develop and maintain standardized recipes, portion controls, allergen information and food‑cost calculations.
• Recruit, train, schedule and coach the culinary team, fostering creativity and accountability.
• Monitor food costs, labor productivity, inventory levels and waste while maintaining culinary excellence.

Required profile

• Culinary degree, professional culinary certification or equivalent extensive industry experience.
• Minimum five years of progressive culinary experience, including at least two years in a leadership role such as Restaurant Chef, Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef.
• Experience in a luxury hotel, resort or high‑end restaurant environment.

Required skills

• Fluency in Spanish.
• Working proficiency in English.
