Material Clerk II

About the role

The Material Clerk II supports manufacturing operations by managing the flow of materials within the facility. This position ensures accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to meet production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload, unpack, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.
• Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
• Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations with proper identification and rotation.
• Pick, pack, and issue materials to production lines based on manufacturing orders.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
• Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Valid certification for material handling equipment if required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lb regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime.
