Field Network Support Technician

About the role

Join GBH as a Field Network Support Technician, providing expert technical assistance to meet customer expectations. You will work independently and within project teams to resolve network‑related issues, ensuring reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve assigned tickets and perform daily follow‑ups on cases.
• Document each case from assignment through closure and keep stakeholders informed.
• Support team members with their cases and contribute to operational improvements.
• Install or replace Access Points and other network hardware using ladders.
• Pull cables through conduits, crimp RJ45 (Cat6) connectors, and configure printers and local hardware.

Required profile

• Current student in Networking/IT (ideally ITLA) who has completed at least one term/quarter.
• Network Technician or Technologist background preferred; CCNA certification is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of technical support experience, including work with networks, printers, antivirus solutions, and servers.
• Proficiency with VoIP platforms (e.g., Grandstream, Isabel) and collaboration tools such as Jira and Microsoft Teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and intermediate networking concepts.
• Strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
