About the role

PROYECO S.A. is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join its engineering and consultancy office in Pedernales, Dominican Republic. The role is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring material availability, quality, and cost‑effectiveness for construction and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Control inventory and stock levels of construction materials.
• Verify quality and conformity of received orders.
• Monitor purchase budgets and ensure compliance with financial limits.
• Resolve incidents with suppliers, including deliveries, invoicing, and returns.
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements related to purchasing.
• Analyze and compare cost items to support budgeting decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience performing the duties listed above.
• Strong analytical ability, technical judgment, leadership and effective communication.
