Delivery Lead – Embedded OS

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Lead – Embedded OS to lead the execution of a highly specialized embedded engineering team working at the intersection of firmware, embedded Linux, hardware, and connected devices. This is a key leadership role for someone who combines strong delivery discipline with technical fluency, understands the realities of embedded development, hardware bring‑up, and cross‑functional dependencies, while keeping teams aligned, risks visible, and critical milestones on track.

Key responsibilities

• Own sprint planning, execution, and delivery against the engineering roadmap.
• Drive a disciplined biweekly sprint cadence and Definition‑of‑Done tracking.
• Coordinate critical dependencies across Embedded OS, Mobile, Cloud, and Network teams.
• Manage delivery relationships with external hardware/EE partners and contract manufacturers.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the technical team in partnership with the Lead Engineer.
• Identify, track, and escalate delivery, talent, hardware, and key‑person risks.
• Provide clear, actionable program status reporting to engineering and company leadership.
• Own the team’s operating budget, including headcount, lab equipment, and engineering tooling.

Required profile

• 6+ years leading software, firmware, or engineering delivery teams.
• Experience leading teams of approximately 4–8 engineers.
• Strong track record with Agile/sprint‑based delivery and roadmap execution.
• Exposure to embedded, IoT, or hardware‑adjacent products.
• Technical fluency in embedded Linux, firmware, kernel, or hardware bring‑up environments.
• Experience managing external engineering vendors or contract manufacturers.
• Strong stakeholder and executive communication skills.
