Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

The Commercial Finance Manager partners with business, supply‑chain and operations teams to provide financial insight and drive performance. You will act as a trusted advisor, evaluating forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting strategic decisions that improve profitability and working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive financial advice on business issues and evaluate financial forecasts independently.
• Support and monitor business opportunities by reviewing quotes, proposals and contract terms.
• Drive improvements in Core Operating Income and working‑capital metrics.
• Collaborate with the Plant Finance Controller and operational teams to track KPIs and manufacturing performance.
• Monitor initiatives that support the Long‑Term Plan and Annual Operating Plan.
• Assist supply‑chain initiatives that enhance material margin and working capital.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and actual performance reporting.
• Identify cost‑structure inefficiencies, build financial models and conduct sensitivity analyses.
• Provide commercial expertise to cross‑functional teams and mentor junior finance staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering financial analysis and commercial oversight in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence contract negotiations.
• Excellent collaboration skills and frequent interaction with business, operations and finance functions.
• Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions and lead others.
• Experience in establishing financial controls and providing training on financial metrics.
