Chief Baker

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is assembling its pre‑opening team and seeks a Chief Baker to lead the bakery operation. Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, you will create and oversee the production of breads, viennoiserie and specialty baked goods for all outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily bakery production, ensuring timely delivery to restaurants, banquets and other culinary venues.
• Participate in pre‑opening activities such as equipment testing, bakery inspections, recipe development and establishment of operating procedures.
• Develop a distinctive portfolio of artisan breads, sourdoughs, breakfast pastries, laminated doughs and regional specialties.
• Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef and culinary leadership to design innovative bakery offerings aligned with each outlet’s concept.
• Maintain quality standards, inventory control, staff training and health‑and‑safety compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading bakery operations in luxury hotels or resorts.
• Proven track record in pre‑opening environments and menu development.
• Strong leadership, creativity and ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑standards setting.
