Supervisor de Operaciones de Transporte

About the role

The Operations Supervisor will lead transportation activities within an assigned region, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while complying with all regulatory requirements. This role coordinates drivers, manages the fleet, and works closely with commercial, traffic, maintenance, and safety teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate vehicles and drivers based on demand, routes, schedules, and commercial priorities.
• Monitor operational processes on routes and at loading/unloading points, guaranteeing proper documentation and traceability.
• Oversee preventive and corrective fleet maintenance, manage workshops, and control repair times to minimize downtime.
• Handle route incidents, communicate promptly with customers and internal areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with transport, road‑safety, and permit regulations as well as internal security policies.
• Train, integrate, and develop operational staff and drivers to promote best practices and reduce turnover.
• Optimize routes and operational processes for efficiency.
• Collaborate with commercial, traffic, procurement, finance, and security departments to align processes.
• Maintain operational documentation, manuals, compliance records, and audit reports.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Logistics, Transportation, Administration or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience supervising transportation operations or fleet management.
• Strong knowledge of route planning, fleet maintenance, cost management, and transport/road‑safety regulations.
• Ability to manage performance indicators and produce operational reports.
• Willingness to travel and handle incidents outside regular hours when needed.
