Senior Test Engineer – Manufacturing Test Systems

About the role

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead the development and support of automated testing methods for printed circuit board assemblies, final assemblies and larger systems in a production environment. The role is based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and works closely with design teams and global manufacturing sites to ensure test equipment and processes are efficient, reliable and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve automated test equipment and procedures for PCBAs and final assemblies.
• Develop standardized work instructions, documentation and operator training for all test‑related processes.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to qualify test equipment, solve test system problems and drive yield improvements.
• Maintain system wiring schematics in AutoCAD Electrical and manage Bill of Materials for test solutions.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting complex test systems and assist with preventative maintenance and calibration scheduling.
• Store and release test software in the appropriate source‑control repository.
• Share best practices and lessons learned across Rockwell Automation manufacturing facilities and new‑product‑introduction teams.

Required profile

• Experience working on moderate‑scope test engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze data, review documentation and make judgment calls within defined procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capability to lead small project teams.
• Effective communication with plant engineering, design teams and operators.

Required skills

• AutoCAD Electrical for creating and maintaining system wiring schematics.
• Lean Six Sigma methodology for process improvement and equipment qualification.
• Familiarity with test equipment, measurement and control systems.
• Knowledge of source‑control practices for test software.
