Senior Python Software Engineer – AI

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level engineer who can modernize our core platform, own architectural decisions and help scale a cloud‑based system used by a global customer base. The role blends Python backend development with React front‑end work on AWS, and emphasizes AI‑assisted coding practices.

Key responsibilities

• Craft client code that is efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
• Work within an AI‑driven development workflow using spec‑driven development and GitHub Copilot.
• Ensure code security through Software Composition Analysis and drive remediation.
• Provide accurate status tracking, reporting and estimation using project tools.
• Gather requirements, validate understanding, and maintain documentation.
• Design and implement scalable AI and agentic workflows with LLMs, focusing on reliability and observability.
• Contribute frontend features in React alongside backend services.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify and remediate technical debt to improve system stability and developer velocity.
• Own projects from technical design through successful launch and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in software engineering with deep expertise in Python and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to own technical features from design to production deployment with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of system design, architecture and solving ambiguous technical challenges.
• Experience with Git source control, Python package management, unit testing (Pytest) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Experience building production‑grade React front‑ends and deploying systems on AWS.
