Senior Analyst - Materials Planning

About the role

The Senior Analyst – Materials Planning will lead new product development material planning, select suppliers, negotiate component costs and support ramp‑up activities while maintaining precise control of inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead material planning for the introduction of new products, design changes and transfers of existing products.
• Procure prototype components for engineering tests and support the CO implementation process.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Program Management to ensure efficient execution of material plans.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast data in the AS400 system to avoid backlogs and maintain optimal stock.
• Plan, monitor and manage material provision, providing monthly inventory cost and production‑day reports.
• Conduct weekly ABC inventory analysis and support the accounting department during physical inventory counts.
• Execute monthly safety inspections and participate in assigned EHS training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in material planning, supply chain or related areas.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency with PC tools including Microsoft Office, AS400, Windows and Access.
• Preferred experience in cost control, materials warehousing or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of MAPICS or Vista systems.
