Sales Director - Leaf Tobacco

About the role

MSH, a leaf tobacco processor based in Santiago and part of a large public tobacco group, is looking for a Sales Director to lead its commercial function in Santiago. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role sets the sales strategy, manages key accounts in the Dominican Republic and internationally, and builds a high-performing team. It is full-time, on-site with travel.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the sales strategy, with clear KPIs, margin targets and accurate forecasting.
• Lead and grow key accounts in the Dominican Republic and international markets.
• Develop the local market and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead and develop the Sales Manager as the team grows.
• Balance time between client visits and internal strategic work such as pricing, margins, projections and reporting.
• Represent the company with integrity in every customer relationship.

Required profile

• 8-10+ years of sales experience, ideally in the tobacco or premium cigar industry.
• An established client portfolio and strong industry relationships.
• Proven ability to build and execute a sales strategy and manage by KPIs.
• Experience managing both local and international accounts.
• Fluent English and Spanish; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Based in Santiago or willing to relocate, with flexibility to travel.
• Track record of ethical, transparent business practices.
