Quality Inspector I-3

About the role

Integer is hiring an entry-level Quality Inspector I-3 to support and carry out the inspection and testing of materials and products, from material input to final assembly of the assigned work area. The role follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality System guidelines and is performed with moderate or minor supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and/or functional inspections of raw materials, in-process assemblies and finished products against specifications and quality standards, using measurement tools such as pin gauges, calipers, optical comparators, SmartScope and pull testers, and ensure their calibration.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and initiate the NCR process.
• Compile quality records and reports, follow sampling plans, and support material transactions in Oracle.
• Take part in first article inspections and update COC, COA and similar documents via the customer portal (SQM, eCert).
• Support problem solving, continuous improvement and corrective and preventive actions, and escalate quality non-conformances.
• Train personnel in the use of systems, equipment and processes, and provide data and analysis to other departments.

Required profile

• Preferred: high school graduate or equivalent; associate degree or inspection experience preferred.
• Preferred: 0-2 years of experience; some associate degrees may substitute for years of experience.
• Understanding of GD&T and ISO9001/ISO13485 quality standards preferred; product knowledge helpful.
• General computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office), ability to read sampling and inspection plans, basic math, good organization and communication skills.
