Production Planner

About the role

Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, is seeking a Production Planner to manage and optimise production schedules for its manufacturing operations. In this role you will ensure a controlled flow of raw and finished‑goods materials, aligning supply with demand to support timely delivery of medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules based on master production plans and inventory requirements.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress, material availability and inventory levels, advising management of any potential disruptions.
• Schedule equipment and personnel, confirm material supply, and generate work orders or purchase requests.
• Coordinate inter‑departmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and demand planning.
• Expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers and shipping requests.

Required profile

• Established individual contributor capable of working independently with general supervision.
• Ability to set objectives for own job area and contribute to project milestones.
• Comfort with moderate‑complexity problems and making adjustments to processes.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and occasional external contacts.
