On‑Call Substitute Teacher

About the role

Carol Morgan School is looking for enthusiastic on‑call substitute teachers to step into classrooms whenever a regular teacher is unavailable. You will support a variety of classes across elementary, middle, and high school levels, ensuring continuity of learning and a positive environment for students.

Key responsibilities

• Follow provided lesson plans and classroom routines.
• Manage student behavior and maintain a safe, respectful atmosphere.
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
• Complete any required documentation or attendance records for each day worked.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish a plus).
• Current student or holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• Experience working with children or teenagers, such as tutoring, teaching, or volunteer work.
• Motivated, proactive, and able to respond calmly to student needs.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 7:15 AM‑2:45 PM, or on a flexible part‑time basis.
