About the role

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring the proper operation and administration of the bank's server and storage infrastructure. The role supports business operations by maintaining services, applying proactive improvements, and providing 24/7 incident support for critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and respond to IT service requests, delivering timely solutions.
• Perform proactive maintenance to guarantee platform availability.
• Assist with technical issues on managed platforms and improve system performance through measurement plans.
• Maintain continuous monitoring and incident response procedures.
• Support cross‑functional infrastructure projects, including new implementations and enhancements.
• Provide 24/7 incident handling for applications directly managed or supporting business processes.
• Mitigate security vulnerabilities and ensure proper OS/application configuration, updates, and patching.
• Conduct periodic health checks of critical platforms and propose improvements.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory and documentation of all managed infrastructure.

Required profile

• University degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and supporting tools.
• Knowledge of web server administration, clustering, load balancing concepts and SAN storage management.
