Human Resources Associate (G6)

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Human Resources Associate (G6) to join its Country Office in Santo Domingo. In this position you will provide a full range of HR support services, ensuring the accurate implementation of WFP policies and facilitating client‑focused, strategy‑oriented HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to complex HR queries and manage follow‑up actions to maintain high‑quality service delivery.
• Guide and supervise junior HR staff, supporting their on‑the‑job learning and ensuring they understand HR systems and procedures.
• Identify emerging organisational needs and propose updates to HR processes and procedures.
• Assist in the administration of HR transactions, records management, and reporting in line with WFP standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in human resources, preferably within an international or humanitarian setting.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and provide client‑oriented support.
