Healthcare Supply Chain Development Coordinator

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Supply Chain Development Coordinator in its healthcare business unit. The role assists the Supply Chain Development Manager in setting up and implementing the supply chain strategy for the assigned global business unit, supporting the individual customer's needs and complementing Jabil's overall supply chain management goals. It is a development position with a path to become a Supply Chain Development Manager within 2-3 years, depending on business need.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the customer supply chain relationship alongside the Supply Chain Development Manager, through direct interaction with customers.
• Planning and inventory control: champion Jabil's standard planning and inventory strategies, drive a systematic process to receive, evaluate and fulfill customer demand, and ensure an achievable Master Production Schedule aligned with customer contracts and materials availability.
• Develop product launch plans for new business and transition plans for products moving between manufacturing sites, including buffer inventory evaluation and continuity of supply.
• Generate and analyze inventory reports, assist in recovering excess or obsolete inventory costs, and recommend initiatives such as hubbing, JIT and optimized lot sizes to lower inventory costs.
• Communicate customer needs to Commodity Management, Operations Materials Management and the Business Unit Buyers, manage the quarterly materials quotation cycle, and help execute RFQs.
• Qualify new, alternate and localized suppliers, negotiate pricing, payment terms and supply chain optimization programs, and work with Commodity Management to achieve Materials Price Variance and inventory turns goals.
• Involve early design teams in supplier qualification and promote the use of strategic suppliers.
• Typically reports to the Supply Chain Development Manager or Senior Supply Chain Development Manager; no direct management of other employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of electronics or mechanical manufacturing and materials management.
• Ability to negotiate cost reduction activities and materials planning.
• Potential leadership skills; domestic and international travel is required.
