Group Sales Manager

About the role

As a key member of the Commercial team for Four Seasons Resort Tropicalia in the Dominican Republic, the Group Sales Manager will lead sales efforts within assigned markets, building strategic relationships and generating brand awareness to achieve budgeted sales goals.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and deliver group sales within assigned markets through a direct sales plan and strategic outreach.
• Develop strategic account plans and maintain a healthy pipeline to achieve room‑night, revenue and profitability targets.
• Lead sales calls, presentations, site inspections, trade shows, client events and networking activities.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate business terms and coordinate contracts in line with resort strategy.
• Collaborate with Commercial leadership, Revenue Management and Conference Services to secure business and maximize profitability.
• Maintain accurate account, activity and booking information in the resort’s CRM and sales systems.
• Monitor market conditions and competitor activity, sharing actionable insights with Commercial leadership.
• Support pre‑opening projects and other commercial priorities as assigned.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Two to three years of relevant group sales experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, close business and build long‑term client relationships.
• Strong commercial judgment, organization, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours when required for clients, events and resort operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using hotel sales systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
