About the role

Industrias San Miguel is looking for a senior Human Resources leader to drive its talent strategy across the Dominican Republic and Haiti. The role reports to the Corporate HR Management team and will be based in Santo Domingo Oeste.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Human Resources strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Lead talent management, learning, and development initiatives to strengthen employee capabilities.
• Design, implement and manage performance evaluation processes that link individual goals to business results.
• Identify, develop and retain critical talent, overseeing succession planning and talent development programs.
• Manage strategic labor relations, including collective negotiations, government liaison, and handling of high‑risk labor or reputational cases.
• Ensure compliance with labor legislation and corporate HR policies in both the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
• Develop and roll out wellbeing, climate and culture projects aimed at boosting engagement and reducing turnover.
• Coordinate with Corporate HR to adapt policies and people projects to local operational and legal realities.
• Oversee personnel administration processes such as contracts, payroll, vacations, attendance and related labor procedures.
• Lead a diverse team, including expatriate staff, fostering integrated management aligned with the Group’s strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Psychology or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources (mandatory); MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of senior‑level HR management experience, preferably in a mass‑consumer environment.
• Proven experience in strategic talent management, succession planning and organizational development.
• Strong background in labor relations, labor legislation and expatriate personnel management.
• Knowledge of compensation structures, talent‑management tools and HR ERP systems.
• Willingness to reside in Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.
