Full-time Pediatrician – Primary Care (On-site)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Pediatrician position in Punta Cana provides comprehensive primary care for infants, children, and adolescents. The role includes well‑child visits, vaccinations, growth and development monitoring, and management of both acute and chronic pediatric conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
• Provide clear, family‑centered education and counseling on health, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for newborns and pediatric patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation in electronic health records.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Pediatrics; board certification or eligibility preferred.
• Valid medical license (or eligibility) and willingness to meet local licensing requirements in Punta Cana.
• Strong clinical foundation in primary care and ability to manage common pediatric conditions in an outpatient setting.
• Experience or training in Neonatology, including care for newborns and premature infants.
• Excellent communication skills with children, families, and colleagues, and a commitment to culturally sensitive, gender‑neutral care.
