Frontend/WordPress Developer – Full‑time On‑site

About the role

The Front‑End/WordPress Developer will design, build, and maintain customer‑facing websites, marketing platforms, and internal web interfaces for a technology team based in Santo Domingo. The role combines hands‑on WordPress development with integration of custom PHP CRM, MySQL databases, and AWS services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive WordPress sites and web interfaces.
• Customize themes, child‑themes, templates, hooks, filters, shortcodes, and plugins.
• Write or modify PHP functionality for WordPress and the custom CRM.
• Connect WordPress forms and pages to REST APIs via Amazon API Gateway and Lambda.
• Integrate WordPress, PHP CRM modules, MySQL databases, and backend services.
• Build responsive UI components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Tailwind, or similar frameworks.
• Configure and troubleshoot plugins, themes, API integrations, PHP errors, MySQL issues, hosting, and deployments.
• Optimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, caching, SEO, accessibility, cross‑browser compatibility, and database queries.
• Provide production support, resolve operational incidents, and document technical changes.

Required profile

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Full‑time, on‑site availability at Blue Mall, Santo Domingo.

Required skills

• WordPress development and maintenance.
• PHP, including custom applications outside WordPress.
• MySQL and SQL query writing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design.
• Bootstrap, Tailwind (or similar CSS frameworks).
• REST API consumption, JSON handling, authentication headers.
• AWS services: Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda.
• Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, secure development practices.
